Are you ready to dig into the world of gardening? Join us for a Summer Gardening Program at the Muncie Children's Museum offered on the 2nd Saturday during the months of May, June, July and August. We will cover these questions, your questions, and so much more in this two-hour workshop on how you can get published – by a big publishing house, smaller presses, or even online journals for a poem or a short story. You will walk away with a lot of ideas, inspiration, and places to get your manuscript or your shorter works published. 

The Vore Arts Fund is a local 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization whose mission is to financially support the art community of Muncie and whose board meetings are open to the public.

Members of the public who are interested in the VAF are welcome to join us on Zoom and observe. At the end of the meeting, the board will invite questions and comments from guests.

Breaking the boundaries of what is deemed traditional Indigenous art, Clearly Indigenous: Native Visions Reimagined in Glass examines how Native artists reinterpret cultural narratives and designs. The two-pronged exhibition focuses on how Native artists have melded ancestral ways with new methods and materials, while also examining the historical narrative of how glass art came to Indian Country from a historical perspective. Visitors will be wowed by over 100 glass art objects created by contemporary Native American and Indigenous Pacific-Rim artists.

Clearly Indigenous: Native Visions Reimagined in Glass was originated by The Museum of Indian Arts and Culture, Santa Fe, New Mexico. The traveling exhibit was curated by Dr. Letitia Chambers and is toured by International Arts & Artists.

STOMP – CELEBRATING 30 YEARS IN NORTH AMERICA.

This unique combination of percussion, movement and visual comedy was created in Brighton, UK, in the summer of 1991. It was the result of a ten-year collaboration between its creators, Luke Cresswell and Steve McNicholas.

STOMP does not have a storyline like a traditional musical or play. There is no dialogue or plot. Instead, the eight-member troupe uses everything but conventional percussion instruments – matchboxes, wooden poles, brooms, garbage cans, Zippo lighters and hubcaps, just to name a few – to fill the stage with magnificent rhythms. 

Donations of gently used hardback and paperback books of all genres, CDs, DVDs and puzzles may be taken to the Ball State University Alumni Center, starting at 8 a.m. Monday, May 19, through 4 p.m. Tuesday, May 27.

Items not accepted are damaged/soiled books, magazines, textbooks, dictionaries, sets of encyclopedias, almanacs, VHS tapes and cassette tapes.
