Cost: Included in General Admission Breaking the boundaries of what is deemed traditional Indigenous art, Clearly Indigenous: Native Visions Reimagined in Glass examines how Native artists reinterpret cultural narratives and designs. The two-pronged exhibition focuses on how Native artists have melded ancestral ways with new methods and materials, while also examining the historical narrative of how glass art came to Indian Country from a historical perspective. Visitors will be wowed by over 100 glass art objects created by contemporary Native American and Indigenous Pacific-Rim artists.
Clearly Indigenous: Native Visions Reimagined in Glass was originated by The Museum of Indian Arts and Culture, Santa Fe, New Mexico. The traveling exhibit was curated by Dr. Letitia Chambers and is toured by International Arts & Artists.

Art in Bloom 2025Visit the David Owsley Museum of Art on May 17 and 18 for Art in Bloom, an annual springtime celebration featuring floral creations inspired by works of art in the galleries!
From 1pm to 5pm on both days, visitors can enjoy the arrangements, docent-led tours, music, and activities for all ages. (An evening reception from 5pm to 7pm on Friday, May 16, will offer jazz, hors d'oeuvres, and a cash (only) bar.)
There is no admission fee for this event, and weekend parking at non-metered spots on the Quad Circle is also free.

The weekend also provides an opportunity to see the special exhibition - guest curated by Ronn Brown - People and Places 1873-2000: A Selection of Photographs from the DOMA Collection, which closes on May 23.

Visit DOMA to learn how to create a lovely and realistic crepe paper flower! Local artist Jeanne Zeigler will lead these 90-minute workshops with all supplies provided. The three sessions - part of Art in Bloom weekend - are free of charge but space is limited and registration is requested via links below.

Please note: This activity is for ages 16 and up as the techniques will be advanced - but Art in Bloom will also feature drop-in paper flower making activities for kids on both days.
