Make an Egyptian Coil Bracelet Workshop

Cornerstone Center for the Arts
Cost: $15 Ages: 8-11 Learn the traditional craft of Egyptian coil bracelet making. Students will construct their own bracelets from wire and beads as well as learn how to choose colors, types of stones, and basic ancient Egyptian symbols and their meanings that adhere to the tradition. Cost of this workshop is $15 and is for those ages eight to 11. Registration is available online or in our building. Contact the Education Department at 765.281.9503, ext 15 with any questions.

Cost: $15 Ages: Ninth grade to adult If you desire to draw beautiful portraits this workshop is for you! Come learn the basics of facial layout, how to accurately shade, and how to draw each part of the face. You will leave with some helpful materials, a portrait you drew, and more confidence in your drawing abilities! The cost of this workshop is $15 and is for those in ninth grade through adults. This workshop will encompass photo techniques as well as chances to discuss work. Cost: $10 per person Ages: Ninth grade to adult Learn the fun, upbeat moves of swing dance! During this workshop, you’ll learn some basic movements and steps that can be done to a variety music. Cost: $10 Ages: 11-18 Whether you have dreamed about becoming a runway model or are looking to vamp up your profile picture, this class is for you! We will learn about runway and commercial modeling, poses, social graces, body care, showmanship, and communication skills. Explore ways to become more confident and have some fun too! Lego Building 3-5

Cost: $10 Ages: 3-5 Have fun creating lego robots that really move! Students will learn how to construct simple lego robots and will learn the technology behind making them move. No supplies needed, but the robots will not be taken home.Parents or caregivers will stay with child during workshop. Registration can be done online on Cornerstone's website or in the building. Cost: $10 Ages: 1st-3rd grade This workshop introduces robotics, enabling students to work as young engineers, scientists, mathematicians and creative writers providing them with the settings, tools and tasks for completing cross-curricular projects. Using the LEGO® Activity pack, students are encouraged to build and program a working model and then use the model for different purposes. Your kids will be having so much fun they won’t even realize how much they are learning. Register online on Cornerstone's website or here in the building. Cost: $15 Ages: Ninth grade to adult An exciting look at everything an actor or actress needs to know about unarmed stage combat, including falling, striking, grappling, and more. Cost: $10 Ages: 4th-6th grade The students will be able to take their creative building ability with LEGO® blocks to a new level. This workshop will introduce robotics with the LEGO® Education WeDo Robotics Construction Set and Software Combo. We will build creative, interactive LEGO® models with a working motor and sensor. The kids will then learn how to program their model with the easy-to-use, drag-and-drop software interface. The kids will have fun while learning too.

Cost: $5 per person Ages: Adults and their children 1-5 Come explore instruments, movement, singing , and much more! Cornerstone Center for the Arts is excited to celebrate another year of family friendly Halloween! Cornerstone will host its Community Halloween Party on Thursday, October 27 from 4:00PM to 6:00PM.
