Bluegrass greats Balsam Range will perform in a FREE, all ages outdoor concert as part of the Muncie Three Trails Music Series. The concert will take place at Canan Commons in downtown Muncie, IN on Friday, July 13th at 7 PM. Flatland Harmony Experiment will open the show.

Balsam Range is one of the most decorated bluegrass groups of the last decade, receiving 8 nominations from the IBMA in 2017 alone, including winning the award for Album of the Year and being nominated for Entertainer of the Year, Instrumental Group of the Year, and Vocal Group of the Year.

African-American Sacred Steel Gospel legends the Campbell Brothers will perform in a FREE, all ages outdoor concert as part of the Muncie Three Trails Music Series. The concert will take place at Canan Commons in downtown Muncie, IN on Saturday, July 28th at 7 PM. The Freetown Village Singers from the Madame Walker Theatre in Indianapolis will open the show.

The Campbell Brothers have received widespread recognition for their work presenting African-American Sacred Steel music, with pedal-steel guitarist Chuck Campbell receiving a National Heritage Fellowship recipient for his contributions in preserving the heritage of African-American gospel music. The full concert band,, with featured soloists on xylophone, flute, cornet, and voice, entertain with a variety program of familiar hum-along tunes.

Folk/country duo and New West recording artists The Secret Sisters will perform with full band in a FREE, all ages outdoor concert as part of the Muncie Three Trails Music Series. The concert will take place at Canan Commons in downtown Muncie, IN on Saturday, September 1st at 7 PM. Modern folk duo Von Strantz will open the show.

The Secret Sisters have shared the stage with the likes of Bob Dylan, Willie Nelson, and Paul Simon among many others. You Don't Own Me Anymore, the group's excellent third long-player, was nominated for a Grammy in 2017 for Best Folk Album. 

All-female Mariachi band Flor De Toloache will perform in a FREE, all ages outdoor concert as part of the Muncie Three Trails Music Series. The concert will take place at Canan Commons in downtown Muncie, IN on Thursday, September 20th at 7 PM. Dance troupes Anderson Ballet Folklorico and Ballet Folklorico Mosaicos will open the show with traditional Mexican dances.

Flor De Toloache are pioneers in updating Mariachi music for contemporary audiences. Their work has won acclaim in many quarters. The group's self-titled debut album was nominated for a Latin Grammy for Best Ranchero/Mariachi album, and their 2017 second release, Las Caras Lindas, won that award.

Bring your family, your blankets and a picnic and join us downtown during ArtsWalk at the corner of Charles and Walnut Streets for this free musical event.

The Muncie Makers Market will again join Light Up DWNTWN on Thursday, December 6th from 5-8p in our big HEATED tent for our Annual Holiday Gift Market in Downtown Muncie!

The Community Tree Lighting ceremony led by Mayor Dennis Tyler, Ball State President Geoffrey Mearns, Charlie Cardinal, Santa Claus, and the Code Red Dancers will take place at Canan Commons (located in the 500 block of S. Walnut St.) at 6:00 p.m.

Muncie Parks and Recreation hosts their third annual Art in the Park & Neighborhood Rummage in Heekin Park on Saturday, July 13th. This event features a wide variety of vendors and plenty of fun including a stage with live music, staple summer-time food, a community rummage sale, and plenty of arts demonstrations and activities for the entire family!

Muncie Arts and Culture Council is honored to count this Heekin Park festival as a "10 for 10 MACCtivity", a series of events highlighted to recognize MACC's 10th anniversary of celebrating and supporting arts & culture in Muncie!

The Muncie Parks Department is offering Free Booth Space to any and all arts or rummage sale vendors interested in participating. Tables will be provided and set-up begins at 8:00 am. Advance notice of your plans to participate is appreciated and helps the team plan for a successful event for everyone. Featuring historical statues and monuments, picnic areas, outdoor events, and playgrounds, Heekin Park is the southern-most Muncie Cultural Zone. The current MACC Cultural Trail offers bike traffic to the park by way of Hackley Street, and Heekin Park is home to several non-profit organizations. Muncie Arts and Culture Council is proud to help promote Arts + Culture activities in the Heekin Park Cultural Zone.

Come hear America's Hometown Band perform “Jazz Under the Stars” on the lawn of the E.B. and Bertha C. Ball Center. Parking available across the street at the fairgrounds. Bring your own chairs!

Join us in the parking lot of Cornerstone at 6 PM on Christmas Eve to praise God through our (socially distanced) caroling. We will not be going inside or door to door. Just staying in the parking lot, so dress accordingly.
