Muncie Civic Theatre and Cornerstone Center for the Arts are partnering to present “Year With Frog & Toad” as a part of Muncie Civic Theatre’s Youth Theatre Education League series. The show will be performed Friday, September 26 through Sunday, September 28 at Cornerstone Center for the Arts in the Grand Hall.

“Year With Frog & Toad” whimsically follow two great friends, a cheerful and popular frog and a grumpy toad through four fun filled seasons. This show will feature aspiring actors ages kindergarten to fifth grade.

Show dates and times are: Friday, September 26 at 7:30 p.m., Saturday, September 27 at 2:00 p.m. and 7:30 p.m., and Sunday, September 28 at 2:00 p.m.

Tickets are $6 for all ages, or $10 for both “Year With Frog & Toad” and Muncie Civic Theatre’s “The Little Mermaid Jr.” Seating is General Admission. Join Cornerstone Center for the Arts on Saturday, November 22nd, for the annual Candy Cane Lane event! This free event is presented by the Alpha Chapter of Psi Iota Xi and is the perfect kick off to the holiday season. From 10:00 am to 12:00 pm, children and adults alike will enjoy various activities throughout the building.

Crafts, entertainment, and snacks will be provided in Cornerstone’s Colonnade Room. Best of all, each child will walk through the gorgeous Candy Cane Lane to meet Santa, have their picture taken, and receive their very own gift. Candy Cane Lane is supported by Advanced Family Dentistry, E&B Paving, Walls Furniture, Accurate Striping, The Star Press, 104.1 WLBC, and 104.9 WERK.

Create unique holiday ornaments in this two hour workshop. Each student will use a variety of different mediums to make their own personalized holiday decorations!

The workshop will meet at Cornerstone Center for the Arts on Saturday, December 6, from 1:00 to 3:00 pm. The workshop is open to students ages 4 to fifth grade. The cost to attend the workshop is just $21 and includes supplies.

Join Cornerstone staff and students as we celebrate another exciting fall session! On Sunday, December 14, from 2:00 pm – 5:00 pm, Cornerstone students will show off what they have learned in their classes this fall. Celebration will include: dance performances, a student art gallery, youth drama performance, private lesson recital, crafts, light refreshments, and a special visit from Santa!  

The event is free and open to the public and is a great opportunity to learn more about the classes offered through the Cornerstone Arts Program. Information and registration for Spring 2015 classes will be available.
