That's right folks, your friends at Scarevania Haunted House and Grace Village Campus Ministry are putting together Muncie's very first Zombie Walk, and it's for a good cause!
Last year we had around 350 zombies! we raised over a thousand pounds of food for charity and around $1000 for charity in shirt sales!
When- Saturday, September 14th, Infection (Gathering) at 3pm, Shambling/Walking at 4pm
Who- Anyone, this event is all ages.
Where- The walking dead will gather at the forested Quad on Ball State's campus, shamble their way through the heart of campus on McKinley Avenue, make a loop around the Bell Tower, and return to where the outbreak began in the Quad.
Why- Besides the obvious fun reasons, this event will be collecting canned food items to benefit Second Harvest Food Bank and Animal Rescue Fund (ARF). Participants are asked to bring AT LEAST a few non-perishable food items or pet food items.
What- Exactly what it sounds like. It's a bunch of people...dressed like zombies...walking. Seriously though, haven't you always wondered how it would look to see a bunch of zombies overrunning your town? This is meant to be a fun event that will give you the feel of being in your favorite zombie movie/show/comic. They've been going on for years in other cities and they've raised A TON of food for charities.
All of that being said. Start planning your costumes now! We're looking for lots of creativity. There will be contests for best costumes in several categories and some cool prizes. Please show up in costume!Oct 26, 2013

Hedwig and the Angry Inch
10:00pm to 12:42pm @
Be Here Now
Outdoor Stage
505 N. Dill St
Hedwig rocks her way into Muncie, Indiana, in Be Here Now's first theatrical production. Zachary Ryan Allen will bring the characters to life in this presentation of the musical HEDWIG AND THE ANGRY INCH written by John Cameron Mitchell featuring music and lyrics by Stephen Trask.
It tells the story of "internationally ignored song stylist" Hedwig Schmidt, a fourth-wall smashing East German rock 'n' roll goddess who also happens to be the victim of a botched sex-change operation, which has left her with just "an angry inch." This outrageous and unexpectedly hilarious story is dazzlingly performed by Hedwig (née Hansel) in the form of a rock gig/stand-up comedy routine backed by the hard-rocking band "The Angry Inch." Using songs and monologues, Hedwig tells her story, which began in the former East Berlin where as Hansel he meets Luther, an American GI who promises to take the young man to the States on the condition that he switch his sex. After the bungled operation, Luther abandons newly named Hedwig in a Kansas trailer park where she turns to music and meets geeky Tommy Speck, whom she takes under her wing and soon falls for. Tommy steals her songs, achieves rock star fame, and Hedwig is once again cast aside. She decides to demand redress and stalks Tommy's world tour, performing in the dive bars that are situated next door to his stadiums. Hedwig describes her life's search for "The Origin of Love" and her other half. It's a rocking ride, funny, touching and ultimately inspiring to anyone who has felt life gave them an inch when they deserved a mile.
HEDWIG is a unique brand of theatre that plays off more as a rock concert than a play. This raucous, outrageous show promises to fully immerse the audience in the twisted world of Hedwig and her pursuit of fame.
HEDWIG AND THE ANGRY INCH is presented in special arrangement with Dramatists Play Services.Oct 31, 2014

Headless Film Screening
8:00pm to 12:42pm @
Cornerstone Center for the Arts
E.B. Ball Auditorium
520 E Main, Muncie, IN 47305
Ages: 18+ Slasher, gore, and horror fans alike will have the unique opportunity to view the feature-length film Headless on Friday, October 16, at Cornerstone Center for the Arts. This free screening will feature an 8:00 p.m. showing of the film with screenwriter Nathan Erdel and producer Kara Erdel (both Muncie natives) in attendance. Due to the graphic, adult nature of this film the showing is strictly for attendees 18 years and older.
The body count climbs as a skull-faced killer battles his inner demons in this retro-slasher epic.
Headless, in its original form, entered the independent horror scene as a ten-minute piece of footage contained within 2012’s Found. Fans will remember Headless as the nasty little peek into a slasher movie that horrified Found’s two young friends. With its amped-up blood and guts and iconic machete-wielding villain, this footage was later deemed so controversial that it caused Found to be banned around the world. Now, due to overwhelming demand by fans of the original movie, Bloomington, Indiana’s Forbidden Films and Gentleman Monster Productions have collaborated to bring to life the complete, bloody story of Headless. The feature-length version of this intense, gore-filled fantasy brings the gruesome and the psychedelic together in one ultra-hardcore horror party.
