These auditions are for our performance on Saturday, September 24, at Cornerstone Center for the Arts. Registration remains open until Monday, July 11. We will send you an e-mail with more information regarding auditions as the date draws nearer.

AUDITIONS ARE TENTATIVELY SET FOR WEDNESDAY, JULY 13, AT 7:00PM at CORNERSTONE CENTER FOR THE ARTS in the Grand Auditorium. Please allow 2-3 hours in your schedule; however, we do not anticipate taking more than 90 mins. Please notify us if you are on a limited time frame or must arrive late.

Special audition dates and times can be coordinated on a limited basis for those unable to attend the regular audition. 

Please note that this is NOT A MIDNIGHT performance. Due to the nature of this event, it will be starting at 8:00 pm. 

We will be casting all roles from auditions EXCEPT for Dr. Frank N. Furter; however, we will be casting an understudy.

Let your imagination and creativity collide during this unique workshop. Use a flower pot to build a mythical fairy house for your garden, backyard, porch, or window sill. Children ages 4 - 6 must attend the workshop with an adult.

Children ages 7 and up will be enjoy this painting workshop, designed especially for children! Whether your child is an experienced artist or brand new to the world of visual arts, this workshop is all about having fun!

Adults are welcome to join the workshop and paint alongside their child. An additional registration and registration fee is required. No registration is needed for those who only want to observe the painting fun.

In celebration of all things fairy students will create their own mystical fairy scene inside of a ball jar using found objects and various crafting supplies. This workshop is for students ages 6 to adult and children under 13 should attend with an adult. This workshop is free and open to the public.

Children ages 7 and up will be enjoy this painting workshop, designed especially for children! Whether your child is an experienced artist or brand new to the world of visual arts, this workshop is all about having fun!

Join Cornerstone Center for the Arts on Sunday, July 31 for its Summer Celebration. This event will conclude the summer class session and will feature group and solo dance performances and an art display featuring the work of all of Cornerstone’s summer students. Youth and adult performers will showcase their talents in this free event.

The show will feature one act of performances that will feature different classes and students. It will take place from 2 to 3:15 p.m. in the E.B. Ball Auditorium. The Colonnade Room will be open from 2 to 4 p.m. with light refreshments, a student art gallery, demonstrations, as well as information and registration for the fall class session. Celebration is free and open to the public.

Attending Summer Celebration is a perfect way to see everything Cornerstone’s arts program has to offer and to get information on upcoming classes, camps, and workshops. The Cornerstone Center for the Arts and PrimeTrust Federal Credit Union Wedding Showcase presented by Johnny Carino’s, Star Photo, 104.9 WERK, and 104.1 WLBC is on Sunday, August 14, from 12 to 4 pm. Spend the afternoon exploring your options for wedding venues, photographers, djs, caterers, florists, dress and tuxedo shops, as well as many other wedding essentials!

The Cornerstone Wedding Showcase is designed to help attendees streamline the wedding planning process. Those who attend the show will be able to tour all of Cornerstone’s rental facilities - beautifully decorated for a number of events. There will be a fashion show starting at 2 pm to show off the latest wedding fashion, featuring selections from the area’s bridal and tux shops. Adding to the fun, various door prizes will be given out throughout the day from the vendors!

Get ready to laugh until it hurts at the Muncie City Wide Comedy Jam on Saturday, August 27 at Cornerstone’s E.B. Ball Auditorium! This edition of the Comedy Jam will be hosted by Marvin M-Dubs Phipps who you may have seen on P Diddys Bad Boys of Comedy or on TBS Just for Laughs, he is also the host at Jokes and Notes Comedy Club in Chicago. The show features performances by comedians Just Nash, Ronnie Phunny George and Kelsie Huff.

Tickets are $10 in advance and $15 at the door. The doors open at 7 p.m. and the show starts at 8 p.m. Tickets are available in advance online at www.cornerstonearts.org, at Cornerstone’s second floor desk from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily, and by calling 765-289-9687 or 765-215-5574.

The Muncie City Wide Comedy Jam is presented by Hurd & Harris Entertainment along with 285 South and in association with Cornerstone Center for the Arts. This is definitely going to be a show you don’t want to miss! 

Cornerstone Center for the Arts and Muncie Public Library are excited for another "Bad Art Night." Wednesday, August 31 the two organizations invite you to Cornerstone for an evening of terribly awesome art! 

All supplies will be provided and awards will be given for the best "bad art." No skills are required, skills may be frowned upon.

This event is FREE and open to the public for adults ages 18 and up. A suggested donation of $5 to help defray supply costs is recommended but not required.

Join us on Saturday, September 24 at Cornerstone Center for the Arts for ALL BEERS CONSIDERED — this community’s premiere craft beer tasting.

The event includes 20 craft beers expertly chosen by The Fickle Peach, artisan snacks created by The Downtown Farm Stand, silent auction, lively music from a local band, a kitschy photo booth, and a souvenir glass!

Proceeds benefit Indiana Public Radio. Must be 21 with I.D.

Cornerstone will also host two workshops mapping Muncie’s past. The classes are entitled: Dear Muncie: Mapping Muncie History Using 19th Century Diaries and Happy Birthday, Indiana: Mapping 200 Years of Indiana History. The first Dear Muncie workshop will take a closer look at a few former Muncie residents’ diaries. This workshop will be at 6 p.m. September 27 at Cornerstone. The second will explore Muncie’s maps throughout the years. This workshop will be at 6 p.m. November 16. These workshops are free to attend.
