The next BIG event for the Muncie Makers Market is the Holiday Gift Market, on December 7th, during December's First Thursday, which is Light Up DWNTWN, from 5-8p, at the Royalty Event Center. There will be fun events all over Downtown Muncie which are sponsored by the Muncie Downtown Development Partnership, and we are excited to be at the heart of it all! Every December’s First Thursday is branded as Light Up DWNTWN and we will show up BRIGHT and MERRY!

The Holiday Gift Market showcases local business!  All with handmade creations, homemade delights, locally grown goodies, and SO MUCH MORE! We really hope that you will #ShopSmallFirst this season!

Our event location is the brand new Royalty Event Center at 227 South Walnut Street, right between Heorot Pub & Draughthouse and Lahody’s Trust Your Butcher Steakhouse, just North of the intersection of Walnut and Adams. Very easy to find, with lots of free parking all around! 

Join your community at Light Up DWNTWN for a fun evening of shopping in a festive environment. America's Hometown Band will have a Jazz Combo at our entrance and we’ll have All Out Productions inside with the holiday tunes! AND Royalty Event Center will host a cash Beer/Wine/Spritzer Bar all evening! We encourage folks to #ShopLocal on First Thursday, December 7, 2023 from 5-8p INDOORS with the wonderful local Growers and Makers of the Muncie Makers Market at Light Up DWNTWN in Downtown Muncie at our Holiday Gift Market! ☘️ Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day with an exciting parade through the streets of DWNTWN! ☘️ 

The Parade will begin at Muncie City Hall, travel South on Walnut Street to Charles Street, and return along Mulberry Street. Parade attendees are asked to line up on Walnut Street between Wysor and Charles Streets, and on Charles Street from Walnut to Mulberry Streets. No candy will be thrown until parade entries reach Wysor Street. 🍬

Gordy Fine Art & Framing Company is proud to highlight the art of graphic artist John Morris during the First Thursday Gallery Walk - TOTAL SOLAR ECLIPSE Edition. The artist will be on hand. Light refreshments will be served, and the public is invited to attend. At 6:15, John will speak about his work and his process. 

John Morris’s art builds a conversation between the digital world and the actual world. His works are built in stages by first designing digital collages from comic book images and then meticulously recreating them as real collages with physical clippings. When that is complete, he then translates the composition into its final iteration using Perler Beads. This process mimics the action of flattening a digital file and highlights the value Morris places on manual labor in the digital age through the labor-intensive use of beads,

The exhibit will remain on view through April 27.

Steven Spielberg set his film Close Encounters of the Third Kind in Muncie Indiana. Gordy is supporting an effort to place a large scale bronze sculpture of the Devil's Tower in Muncie as a public landmark on the 50th Anniversary of the movie in 2027!
