    A Taste of Muncie

Cornerstone Center for the Arts and PrimeTrust Federal Credit Union are excited to announce the 30th Annual A Taste of Muncie, “Cheers to 30 Years,” on Sunday April 17, 2016 from 2 to 4 p.m. A Silver Ticket event will precede the main event at 1 p.m. A Taste of Muncie is presented by Johnny Carino’s, 104.1 WLBC, 104.9 WERK FM, 93.5 MAX Radio, 96.7 BLAKE FM, and  FOX Sports Radio 102.9 FM/1340 AM, with support from Vera Mae’s Bistro, New Corner Brewing Co., Willowbrook Interiors, and Guardian Brewing.

This annual fundraiser features cuisine from several of the finest restaurants and food vendors in the area. Attendees are invited to sample items and vote on “The Best of Taste” in various categories. All proceeds from the event benefit Cornerstone Center for the Arts’ arts programs and events. In celebration of 30 years of the competition, Cornerstone plans to feature 30 vendors at this year’s event.

For the Silver Ticket reception local breweries, Guardian Brewing and New Corner Brewing Co., have joined forces to present two original brews each and one collaborative beer brewed exclusively for A Taste of Muncie. The beer tastings will be paired with food offerings by Vera Mae’s Bistro during the Silver Ticket event beginning at 1 p.m. Silver ticket holders will enjoy this private reception for just $40 per person. This exclusive 21 and older pre-event will also include early access to food vendors, private entertainment, and reserved seating.

Food vendors may participate in the event free of charge. By donating their time and money all proceeds of the event go back to Cornerstone’s arts programs and events. Not only is participating in the event great advertising, it’s a wonderful way to give back to the community while earning bragging rights. Area restaurants and vendors interested in participating in A Taste of Muncie can contact Brett Ellison, Director of Rentals & Events, at 765-281-9503, ext. 53.

Tickets for A Taste of Muncie will be available beginning in March. Silver tickets are $40 per person. Advanced general admission tickets are $20 for adults or $15 for students with ID. General admission tickets at the door are $25 for adults and $20 for students. Children, ages five and under, are free. Tickets will be available for purchase 30 days prior to the event.
