Join us Saturday, June 11, 2011 to listen and watch the Muncie Arts and Culture Council, with the Muncie Symphony Orchestra taking the stage at 7 pm, present a celebration of arts on the "front lawn" of the Ball State University Museum of Art. Watch for special announcements and surprises to conclude the museum's 75th anniversary, including special children's activities.

Special event features: free family portraits before the concert in the lobby, Santa, artists from Muncie Community and Delaware County Schools, fine music by Muncie Symphony Orchestra, light refreshments in the Williams Lounge and an instrument petting zoo in Emens lobby at intermission and a surprise production.

Join Muncie Symphony Orchestra enthusiasts and the Muncie community at the annual Festival on the Green concert Saturday, June 9, 2012, at the University Quad in front of the Museum of Arts Terrace.

The Ball State University Alumni Association will host a private picnic for Ball State alumni, their families, and friends of the university. Check-in, seating, and the dinner for this private event will take place from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Special seating will be arranged for all registered participants.

Cost is $20 per adult, $10 per child, which includes the picnic buffet, two complimentary beverages, and reserved seating.

Jennie’s heartfelt lyrics and enchanted voice paired with MSO’s finest musicians make it a spectacular event that is worth a trip from near and far to witness greatness. Concert will be preceded by the reception at 6:45pm.

Music on the Move! is a free program available through a partnership between Muncie Symphony Orchestra and the Ball State University School of Music. Elementary students experience a small chamber ensemble (string quartet) in a casual, personal, interactive musical conversation. String ensemble's program theme Music is a Language is mainly meant for elementary age students and lasts approximately 25 minutes.  More info here. 

In the fall of 2012 the program has been visiting elementary schools, Muncie Children's Museum and will be visiting Maring-Hunt Public Library on November 17th with performance at 2pm and repeated performance at 3pm.

Strings Quartet Instrumentation: Violin (2), viola (1), cello (1)

Best suited for audiences in grades k-6, but is enjoyable by all.

Instrument petting zoo will be available immediately after performances.
