Community Service Spotlight: The members of the Muncie Symphony Orchestra are participating in a Holiday Toy Drive this year!  The toys will be collected during the Fisher/Shafer Holiday Pops Concert or can be dropped off earlier at the MSO office. For every new toy donated you will receive a 50% off MSO ticket for the MSO season finale concert (April 20). Read more here.

The Muncie Symphony Orchestra holds a yearly competition for young musicians in the region. Two divisions – the Junior and the Senior- provide the opportunity to select two winners: a younger player and a more seasoned player. Both division winners will have a performance opportunity and receive cash prizes.  Please read more information on the 2012-2013 season Young Artist Competition in the application form below.

Love ballroom dancing? Grab your dance shoes and join us at Muncie Macy's for an evening of dance music. We’ll keep your toes tapping to the beats of swing, Latin, polka, or waltz. Join us at the Muncie Macy’s (Juniors section) as Larry McWilliams' group swings you away, along with dancers from Ballroom Dance League and Holiday Dance & Dinner Club.
You will have an opportunity to just relax and watch or join the dancers.

Don't miss a fun Valentine's week event this Saturday, February 16 at 7:30pm! MSO will set romantic mood with fun decorations, lively romantic jazzy music, some dancing and sweet party favors for you and yours at this special concert! Sit back, reminisce, and enjoy some of your all-time favorite jazz standards as performed by The Harry Arnett Quintet and Larry McWilliams.

This is the MSO chamber series finale-last of three unconventional events in unconventional locations, that are part of MSO Goes to Town series.

Featuring favorites from the crooners of the 20th century and today, MSO presents guests artists that put their own uniquely-smooth style on each classic. You'll enjoy compositions made famous by Bobby Darin, Frank Sinatra,Mel Torme, Tony Bennett, Nat King Cole, Dean Martin, Harry Connick Jr. and Michael Buble to name a few. Afteward, enjoy an eclectic mix of light instrumental jazz standards as well as tasty dance classics for your dancing pleasure. It will be an evening not to forget.

Muncie Symphony holds annual competition for young musicians in the region. Winners are selected in two divisions: junior (grades 6-8) and senior (grades 9-12). Both division winners receive cash prizes and are offered performance opportunity with the MSO.   The competition allows MSO to discover and showcase young rising talents. It also serves as encouragement and inspiration for any school age children who are learning an instrument to continue their practice.  

Public is admitted free of charge to observe the competition. Concert étiquette is required, but you can leave/enter quietly during the competition in between the performances.

An outdoor concert for the whole family to enjoy! Come celebrate a Muncie "town and gown" musical experience with the MSO and the "Pride of Mid-America" Marching Band. It's one last summer celebration before winding down for the school year.
