Urban Gardening Initiative is  having the first meeting of the growing season this coming Sunday, March 18th at 2pm at the Delaware Building, where Muncie Delaware Clean and Beautiful's office is located, on the corner of Jackson and Mulberry St. All are welcome to attend!

Cornerstone Center for the Arts is pleased to announce the 26th Annual A Taste of Muncie, on Sunday, April 15th, 2012 from 4-6pm.

A Taste of Muncie is sponsored by Indiana Michigan Power and WLBC, FoxSports, MAX, WERK Radios, and will feature food from several area restaurants including Vera Mae's Bistro, Delaware Country Club, Ivy Tech Community College Culinary Department, Cardinal Cupcakes & Coneys, White River Valley Pizza Hut, Mr. Mouse, Sister, Sister Catering, Del's Custom Catering, Chef Boy's Sandwhich Factory, Scotty's Brewhouse, Carino's Italian, and more to come!

Advance tickets are $20.00, $18.00 for groups of ten or more, and $15.00 for students with ID. Tickets purchased the day of the event will be $25.00 for adults and $15.00 for students with ID.

Join us for the 6th Annual White River Cleanup this year at Westside Park in Muncie on Saturday, September 8th. 

The White River Cleanup has been responsible for removing over 65,000 pounds of trash and 400+ tires from our beautiful river. It has drawn well over 1500 volunteers over the years, with last year bringing over 325 volunteers to Westside Park. 

This year we have more work to do and need your help! All volunteers receive a free t-shirt and lunch for participating. Please help us spread the word and encourage your group, church, school, club, family and friends to attend.

Muncie Economic Empowerment would like to introduce a new paradigm in poverty reduction and local wealth building to Muncie, IN. We will reduce generational poverty by creating cooperative business ventures that will be owned and run democratically by the workers, and savings and investment initiatives to assist in anchoring that wealth locally. We would also like to build collaborative programs with like-minded organizations and community members to further build dialogue regarding poverty and to help the public become more aware of the benefits of cooperative businesses. Join the fun for a great cause on Saturday, September 27! The theme for this year's FT5K is Under the Sea and the Fun Run is Superheros! Registration includes an awesome themed 5k tshirt. A Zumba instructor will warm up all the 5k participants before the race, and post-race snacks will be available. Stay tuned for cool prizes! Our team is part of the The FIRST® Robotics Competition (FRC®) which stages short games played by robots. The robots are designed and built in six weeks by our team of high school students and mentors. We solve high tech problems in an intense and competitive way!
