The Ukulele Orchestra of Great Britain is a group of all-singing, all-strumming Ukulele players, using instruments bought with loose change, which believes that all genres of music are available for reinterpretation, as long as they are played on the Ukulele. A concert by the Ukulele Orchestra is a funny, virtuosic, twanging, awesome, foot-stomping obituary of rock-n-roll and melodious light entertainment featuring only the “bonsai guitar” and a menagerie of voices in a collision of post-punk performance and toe-tapping oldies.

Hailed by Time Magazine as, “Musical Theatre Gold,” Bullets Over Broadway is the hilarious musical comedy about the making of a Broadway show. Written by Woody Allen, Bullets Over Broadway is the story of a young playwright who, in desperate need of financial backing for his next show, accepts an offer he can’t refuse from a mobster looking to please his showgirl girlfriend. Loaded with big laughs, colorful characters, and the songs that made the 20s roar, Bullets Over Broadway is bringing musical comedy back with a bang.

Designed to promote jazz within Indiana, the Art of Jazz Series presents world-renowned artists in concert with the Ball State Jazz Ensembles.

You can almost smell the fresh-cut pine logs and the sweat of lumberjacks as you watch them jiving to a traditional folk soundtrack. The young circus troupe hails from a small town called Saint-Alphonse-Rodriguez and they have clearly drawn upon their country roots. The artists preform incredible feats of aerial acrobatics that are directly inspired by the natural raw materials of the forest and the equipment used on the farm.

Jazz is America’s music and the U.S. Navy Band Commodores, the Navy’s premier jazz ensemble, have been performing the very best of big band jazz for the Navy and the nation for over 40 years. Formed in 1969, this 18-member group continues the jazz big band legacy with some of the finest musicians in the world.

The Campus Band and Campus Orchestra, two all-student ensembles, are led by doctoral and graduate student conductors.

Accordion Virtuosi of Russia was founded in 1943, during the Leningrad siege by Professor Pavel Smirnov. Throughout history, they have toured extensively in more than 20 countries and were invited to be part of the cultural program for the Olympic Games in Munich in 1972, Montreal in 1976, and Moscow in 1980. The outstanding ensemble’s repertoire ranges from folk music to arrangements of rock songs and continues to astound audiences around the world.
